🪶 PART-1 : English Detailed Explanation

1. Purpose of the Amendment

The correction modifies Appendix-3 of IREM regarding the qualifying examination for promotion to supervisory posts in Accounts Department.

These posts include:

• Senior Section Officer (Accounts) – Sr.SO(A/cs)
• Senior Inspector of Station Accounts – Sr.TIA
• Senior Inspector of Stores Accounts – Sr.ISA

2. Major Changes Introduced

✅ 1. Merger of Three Streams

Earlier these were separate streams:

• Accounts
• Traffic Accounts
• Stores Accounts

Now they are merged, and selected staff can work in all streams.

✅ 2. Introduction of Objective Type Pattern

New exam pattern includes:

• Objective MCQ based papers
• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Without books examination

• 100 MCQs
• 2 hours duration
• 100 marks
