1. Abstract Estimate

An Abstract Estimate is a preliminary cost estimate prepared at the proposal stage of a railway work. It gives a rough idea of the total expenditure required and is mainly used to obtain Administrative Approval from the competent authority. This estimate does not include detailed measurements or item-wise calculations.

Abstract Estimate वह प्रारंभिक लागत अनुमान है जो किसी रेलवे कार्य की योजना बनाते समय तैयार किया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य कार्य की कुल संभावित लागत बताना होता है ताकि Administrative Approval (प्रशासनिक स्वीकृति) प्राप्त की जा सके। इसमें विस्तृत माप या आइटम-वाइज विवरण शामिल नहीं होता।

2. Detailed Estimate

English

A Detailed Estimate is prepared after administrative approval. It contains complete technical details such as drawings, design data, specifications, rate analysis, and item-wise quantities. This estimate is required to obtain Technical Sanction before execution of work.

Detailed Estimate प्रशासनिक स्वीकृति के बाद तैयार किया जाता है। इसमें ड्रॉइंग, डिजाइन, तकनीकी विशिष्टताएँ, दर विश्लेषण और प्रत्येक आइटम की मात्रा शामिल होती है। इस अनुमान के आधार पर Technical Sanction (तकनीकी स्वीकृति) दी जाती है।

3. Supplementary Estimate

English

A Supplementary Estimate is prepared when additional works, not included in the original estimate, become necessary during execution. These works are essential for completion of the project and are submitted separately for approval.

Supplementary Estimate तब बनाया जाता है जब कार्य के दौरान कुछ नए और आवश्यक कार्य सामने आते हैं जो मूल अनुमान में शामिल नहीं थे। ये कार्य परियोजना की पूर्णता के लिए जरूरी होते हैं और अलग से स्वीकृति हेतु प्रस्तुत किए जाते हैं।

4. Revised Estimate

English

A Revised Estimate is prepared when the anticipated cost of the work is likely to exceed the originally sanctioned estimate by more than 10 percent. The revision may occur due to change in rates, scope, quantities, or unforeseen conditions.

Revised Estimate तब तैयार किया जाता है जब कार्य की अनुमानित लागत स्वीकृत लागत से 10 प्रतिशत से अधिक बढ़ने की संभावना हो। यह दरों में वृद्धि, कार्य के दायरे में बदलाव या अप्रत्याशित परिस्थितियों के कारण बनता है।

5. Project Abstract Estimate

English

Project Abstract Estimate represents a consolidated estimate of an entire railway project. It is usually based on survey data and is prepared for large projects such as new railway lines, doubling, gauge conversion, or major expansions.

6. Construction Estimate

English

Construction Estimate is a collective name for all detailed estimates of different components of a project. It reflects the total construction cost and is used for systematic execution and financial control of railway works.

Construction Estimate परियोजना के विभिन्न हिस्सों के सभी Detailed Estimates का संयुक्त रूप होता है। यह कुल निर्माण लागत दर्शाता है और कार्यान्वयन व वित्तीय नियंत्रण में सहायक होता है।

7. Completion Estimate

English

Completion Estimate is also known as a Stock Taking Estimate. It is prepared after the work is substantially completed, generally within 18 months, to compare sanctioned cost with actual expenditure and to close the financial records.

Completion Estimate को Stock Taking Estimate भी कहा जाता है। यह कार्य के लगभग पूरा हो जाने के बाद, सामान्यतः 18 महीनों के भीतर, तैयार किया जाता है ताकि स्वीकृत लागत और वास्तविक खर्च की तुलना की जा सके।
